Native Plant Propagation

 A good guide to native plant seed collection/preparation/starting/and planting by the California Native Plant Society. Several of the techniques spelled
out here became lessons learned the hard way by the Elfin Forest conservation volunteers. Contains a number of photos so may take a minute or two to load.
A "Native Species Planting Guide
for the Elkhorn Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve" This is a synthesis from the literature done by a reserve staff member in 2001. Many of the Reserve's plant species are shared with
the Elfin Forest. (Full disclosure notice: the "staff member" is your webmaster's daughter).
"Direct Seeding Woody Plants" UC Dept of Ag. This
is a scan of the 1979 publication with no updates. Covers a number of species found in the Central Coast Region.
